What is this feature?
The Delivery Options by Weight feature allows marketplace admins to configure delivery methods based on the weight of items. This ensures accurate shipping costs and options for products of varying sizes.
How do I set up the Weight Unit?
To set up the weight unit for your marketplace:
- Log in to your Admin Panel.
- Navigate to the Features Control menu.
- Click on the Delivery 2.0 Edit.
- Select the preferred Weight Unit (e.g., kilograms, pounds) for your marketplace.
Insert the weight unit used (e.g. kg, lb, oz, etc.)
Click 'save' to save it, The text field will be grayed out once it is saved as shown in the screenshot below.
You can click on 'edit' to edit the weight unit but when editing a warning pop-up would be shown as seen on the screenshot below.
Do note that changing the weight unit would affect all the weight units on the marketplace.
Do also note that the weight unit cannot be left blank as when trying to save the field without a value, then a red box would be shown as seen below.
3) How do I use this feature?
Once you select the 'add delivery option' tab, you would be redirected to the page shown on the screenshot below.
Choose between calculating the shipping by total order weight or total order price.
This option would influence how the rates are calculated.
Furthermore, you can also add new delivery rate by selecting the 'add delivery rate' button and filling in the necessary fields.
