Delivery 2.0 allows merchants to manage their delivery methods easily after onboarding. Merchants can add, edit, or view delivery methods by clicking Delivery in the merchant panel.
Step 1: Add a Delivery Option
- Click Add Delivery Option or toggle Yes on the default delivery methods in the marketplace.
Step 2: Configure Delivery Details
- Delivery Option Name – Enter a name for your delivery method.
- Delivers To – Select the countries this delivery method supports.
Note: Buyers outside these countries will not see this option. - Minimum Lead Time – Specify the earliest expected number of business days for delivery.
- Where are you delivering from – Indicate the location where products are stored and shipped.
- Cost Calculation Method – Choose whether delivery cost is calculated by weight or price.
Step 3: Add Delivery Rates
You can set delivery rates based on price or weight.
Price-Based Delivery Rates
- Name the rate and define the applicable price range.
- To offer free delivery above a certain amount, check Onwards, set the threshold, and enter 0 as the cost.
- Ensure ranges are continuous (e.g., $0–$100 and $101 onwards).
Weight-Based Delivery Rates
- Name the rate and define the applicable weight range.
- For fixed rates above a certain weight, check Onwards, set the weight, and enter your cost.
Lead Time
Admins can specify the minimum lead time for delivery. This is shown to buyers at checkout but does not trigger notifications. Notifications or tracking require integration with a logistics system.
How Delivery Cost is Calculated
- Delivery cost follows the merchant’s set rates.
- Example: If orders above $40 have free delivery, a $119 order will show $0 delivery cost.
- For multi-merchant checkouts, delivery costs are calculated per merchant and summed up.
Troubleshooting: Why Buyers Don’t See Delivery Methods
- The buyer’s region may not match any delivery method.
- The order’s weight or price may not fit any defined range.
Solution: Refine your delivery methods or clarify listing limitations.
