Arcadier’s service allows the running of an entire e-commerce platform, and this responsibility translates to a careful use of the data that is provided. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires Arcadier to make the following changes to its platform and internal privacy program:
- Make sure that Arcadier is able to honour the rights of its European marketplace administrators over their personal data, and that when using Arcadier’s services, administrators are able to do likewise.
- Revise Arcadier’s privacy policy and be accountable for the company’s privacy practices.
What Arcadier has done:
- Updated Arcadier’s Privacy policy to reflect that we only collect and store information that is necessary to offer our service, and we do this with the consent of our customers.
- Detailed cookie policy that includes specific information about the categories of cookies that Arcadier employs.
- Making terms of services page available to the Arcadier platform so that administrators are able to communicate their privacy policy.
- Added functionality that allows for the additional code that automatically generates to obtain independent consent for marketing purposes.
