How do I configure the Date Format? – Arcadier

To configure the date format, access your admin portal, then Settings > General > Date Format.

By default, the date format is Day: DD / Month: MM / Year: YYYY (13/04/2021). To change how you want your marketplace to present the date format, click on the pencil icon to change the date type and format.

You are able to change the date type to day, month or year. And the date format to any of the following below.

Day without leading zero

For days 1 - 9, show single-digit (e.g. 1 - 9)
For other days, show double digits

Month without leading zero

For months Jan - Sep, show as a single digit (1 - 9)
For the other months, show double digits (10 - 12)

Two digit year

Years to show the last 2 digits only (e.g. 2020 will show 20)

Day with leading zero

For days 1 - 9, show double digits (e.g. 01 - 09)
For other days, show double digits

The month with leading zero

For months Jan - Sep, they will still show as double digits (01 - 09)
For the other months, show double digits

Full numeric year

Years to show all 4 digits (e.g. 2020)

Day with ordinal

For days 1, 21, 31, show 1st, 21st, 31st
For days 2, 22, show 2nd, 22nd
For days 3, 23, show 3rd, 23rd
For the rest of the days, it will end with a “th” (e.g. 5th)

Month as abbreviation

Months show as 3 letters (Jan - Dec)

Month as full name

Months to show as fully spelled out (January - December)

In Arcadier, we give you the flexibility of changing the date format to anything you want, for example, MM/MM/MM (month, month, month). However, we will only be including the commonly used date formats in our testing routine. Which includes:

Year / Month / Day

Once configured, all your buyer, merchant, and admin portal will reflect the date in the chosen date format. For email notification, it will also reflect in the chosen date format, but do take note that it will always reflect in the UTC timezone.
