If your country does not support either Stripe, Omise or PayPal, or you would like to use your own payment gateway, you may do so with our generic payment feature. This allows you to integrate payment processors that we currently do not support. For example, Russian marketplaces may only want to use Qiwi Wallet and Yandex Money while Chinese marketplaces may only want to use Alipay and Ten Pay.
To help you understand how payment flows work with generic payment processors, we have prepared a video for you. See below to watch the video. Click here to access our GitHub resources on how to connect your generic payment processor and here for Merchant-on-record (MOR).
It is a feature on your marketplace that allows you to bring your own payment processor, apart from Stripe and PayPal (which are Arcadier’s default payment processors). As an admin, you may enable this feature from your dashboard under ‘Payments’. However, we suggest that you seek assistance from a tech developer with relevant payment integration knowledge as this process can be very confusing.
When you add your own generic payment processor, successful transactions in your marketplace depends on the payment processor and the connector created by you/your developer. If unsuccessful, your sellers might lose out on orders as your buyers will be unable to complete payment for their transactions in your marketplace. It is important that you are aware of this and allow transactions sent to your connector to be traceable.
Arcadier will not be able to trace these transactions. We are only able to tell if the transaction is successful or not. Do note that we do not provide any support with regards to errors that occur during transactions with generic payment processors.
