Before you start buying or selling on your marketplace, it’s important to understand how payments work on Arcadier.
When a customer checks out, they can pay using any payment methods you’ve enabled under the Payments & Transactions tab in your admin portal.
Stripe Integration and Split Payments
Arcadier comes with Stripe pre-integrated, so you don’t need to set up payment processing from scratch. Stripe ensures transactions are secure and seamless.
Here’s how it works:
- When a customer makes a purchase, Stripe automatically splits the payment between the marketplace admin and the seller.
- The split is based on the admin commission rate, which you set during your initial marketplace setup.
- Stripe deducts its standard processing fee from the transaction.
This setup means sellers get paid quickly, and admins receive their commission without manual intervention.
Admin Commission Fee
The admin commission fee is a percentage of every successful transaction (e.g., 10%) credited to your account.
If you need to change this fee:
- It cannot be updated via the admin portal.
- Contact our support team via email, and inform your sellers about the change.
Payment Gateways
By default, you can integrate Stripe or add multiple payment gateways to your marketplace.
Key points:
- At least one payment gateway must be connected for live transactions.
- The payment gateway your sellers use depends on the processors you’ve enabled as an admin.

Mandatory vs. Optional Payment Methods
As an admin, you can make certain payment methods mandatory for sellers:
- Go to Payments & Configuration.
- Toggle the Mandatory button beside each payment processor to YES or NO.
Payment Security
All credit card transactions on Arcadier are safe and secure:
- We use SSL encryption for all connections.
- Our platform is PCI Level 1 compliant.
- We do not store credit card details; payments are processed through Stripe.
