Before you start buying or selling on your marketplace, you will need to understand how Arcadier payment process works. When a customer checks out their item, they can choose to pay for their order using any payment methods that you have enabled under Payments & Transactions tab in your admin portal.
Arcadier comes pre-integrated with Stripe and PayPal, both split payment (with a Stripe/PayPal fee) between the admin and the seller according to an admin commission fee set at the very beginning of the admin’s marketplace onboarding process.

Admin Commission Fee
The admin commission fee is a percentage of the value of every successful transaction (e.g. 10%) that happens on your online marketplace and credited to your account. If you would like to change your admin commission fee, it cannot be done via the admin portal and you would need to drop us an email if you would like us to change this fee for you. Make sure that all your sellers are informed about the change in commission fee.
You can choose to integrate either Stripe or PayPal OR both into your marketplace. Regardless, you will need at least one payment gateway successfully linked and made mandatory.
The type of payment gateway that will be used by your sellers will depend on the payment processors you have connected to as an admin. It can be any combination of the default (Stripe and PayPal) and/or a generic payment processor.

There are other ways that customers can pay online without using Stripe or PayPal, such as Adyen or Yandex. To know more about integrating a payment processor other than Stripe or PayPal, you can refer to the tab on Using another payment gateway of this section of the help centre.
Making Payment Method(s) Non-Mandatory
When you have connected one or more payment gateway, as an admin, you are able to make certain payment method mandatory for your sellers. Under the Payments and Configuration tab, you can toggle the ‘Mandatory’ button beside each payment processor you have connected to ‘YES’ to make that payment processor mandatory for your sellers to connect to. Toggle the 'Mandatory' button back to 'NO' if you wish to make it non-mandatory for your sellers.
Do note that you need to have at least one payment processor connected at any one point for any live transactions to go through.

Our website and app is secured using a RapidSSL Wildcard Certificate. This explains why the website address begins with “https” instead of “http”. We do not store any credit card details and all payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal. Our PCI level 1 compliant partners hold all your financial data securely; no one can access it, not even us.
