To gain access to a private marketplace, the admin of the private marketplace needs to send an invite to the respective party which will include a unique link to start the onboarding process.
In a marketplace that does not have its privacy settings turned on, the Invite merchant and Invite consumer buttons also work as a way to direct prospective parties to sign up as a merchant or consumer on your marketplace.
To become a seller on a private marketplace (for a marketplace that is not private, click here):
1. The admins of the private marketplace can send the email invite to sellers via the admin portal via the Invite Merchant button, located under the Users > User List tab.
If a seller has registered interest to be a seller on the private marketplace, the marketplace admin can click ‘Send Invite’ to invite the seller to onboard the private marketplace via Waiting List.
2. Upon receiving the email invite from the marketplace admin to sign up as a seller, the potential seller can click on the link Create Account which will direct them to the sign-up page.
3. Potential sellers can opt to sign up as a seller via their Gmail/Facebook account or custom login.
4. After clicking Create Account, sellers will be directed to the page to fill up the necessary fields and complete the seller onboarding process. Refer to Onboarding as a seller - Step 4 for the continuation of the seller onboarding process.
After saving the updates, the seller onboarding process is completed and the seller may proceed to add listings to the store.
