Sellers can define both the rental duration and the price for each rental period they offer. The available duration include:
/minute, /hour, /day, /week, /month, and Custom.
Using the Custom option, sellers can specify an exact rental duration in minutes or hours.
Examples:
A surfboard renter may set a rental duration of 45 minutes, meaning buyers can only book the surfboard in 45-minute blocks.
Hour-based custom durations must be between 1 hour (minimum) and 12 hours (maximum).
Minute-based custom durations must be between 15 minutes (minimum) and 150 minutes (maximum).
Booking Restrictions
Overnight bookings are not allowed when using custom durations in minutes or hours.
For example, a rental from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM the next day cannot be booked.
Buyers can book multiple consecutive rental periods if they need more time.
Example: If a seller sets a 20-minute rental duration, a buyer may book three back-to-back sessions to create a total 60-minute rental.
Pricing
Sellers must assign a price corresponding to the duration they have set.
Example: A standard duration such as $25/hour.
For custom durations, sellers enter the price per unit.
Example: If the rental duration is 45 minutes, the seller may choose to charge $1 per minute, resulting in a total rental cost of $45 per 45-minute session.
