Buyer and Seller Accounts Issue
I am using service marketplace and am facing a few issues.
1) Issue with my seller and buyer accounts.
In my marketplace, which I believe is the same as other services marketplace, when a person signs up a seller accounts, a buyer account will also be created automatically.
When a person signs up a buyer account, there will be a link to sign up as a seller too. When the buyer clicks on the link, he will be brought to the seller onboarding process directly, without having to key in any email or password for the seller account. This means that the buyer and seller account effectively have the same login and no choice is given the the buyer during the setup of the seller account to use a separate login.
So here is the issue, when the buyer and the seller accounts are using the same email, when the user makes a purchase as a buyer and then he goes into his seller portal, say to add listing or edit listing, he will be required to complete his onboarding as a seller again.
This is recurring everything a user with the same email login for both buyer and seller accounts makes a purchase.
The response I was given is that: buyer account cannot be used for adding listing and seller account cannot be used for making purchase.
So fine, how do I share this to the users? If you are logged in as a buyer, please log out before you click on the link to sign up as a seller and use a different email?
If you already have a seller account ignore the buyer account that is automatically created for you and create a new buyer account with a different email address?
I was told I need to custom code for a registration portal with 2 buttons - Seller Registration and Buyer Registration for this issue.
To me obviously something is breaking at the backend. If the same email is not allowed for buyer and seller, why is a buyer account automatically created when a seller account is created?
Instead of rectifying this issue, Arcadier is asking me to hire custom coder to fix their issue when I have already paid monthly subscription for the use the platform. I do not expect something fantastic but at least not something as ridiculous as this.
2) Email notification Sender field
As per FAQ or guide, already change the sender from {{SellerEmail}} to {{AdminEmail}}. The email continues to be sent out from the seller email.
3) Listing Delivery and PickUp Option
Accordingly this is an optional step and can be skipped by hitting the Upload Now button. Instead, on hitting the Upload Now button, the delivery and pick up field becomes mandatory.
This one I have yet to get a response from the team yet.
Anyone facing the same issue as me? Is it true that buyer and seller cannot use the same email?

I have been contacting Arcadier since late Sep with my seller and buyer account issue. After countless email exchanges and a con-call, I thought my issue is going to get resolved.
To put it more correctly, it is your platform issue.
I don't want to say anything more. I WANT A REFUND!

the last con-call was on 30 Oct... I patiently waited.. nothing came.. so you sell a platform and does not care if anything is breaking for your customer?
2 months has passed since i first brought up this issue. Nothing is done, except pointing me in all directions. I paid USD59 a month to use your platform and I do not even get a proper working marketplace.
Totally lose faith. Please refund me the remaining subscription.
