Gap between Listing Title and View Item link on main page

I notice I have weird large gap between title and View Item on main page. I tried couple of themes with same issue. On the Preview theme page, there seems to be extra description, but that doesn't show up for me. Also, why is it saying View All Items when it's just one listing? 

Another issue with same listing is, without hovering over it, there is annoying white lines crossing it.

 

Any idea how to solve these issues?

  OK so the whitebox is actually part of the design. I just need to use better sized images. Hope I can get answers for other issues.
