Hero Image seems shadowed

Hi everyone, 

I hope that someone is able to help me with the following problem I experienced since the beginning of the set-up process. I've inserted an image to the first section which is the same where the search bar comes up in. I deleted the text since I got text in my image, but the whole image seems now as if there is a grey transparent mask above it. So the intense red just looks like a greyish red now and so on. Will that change once I signed up for the paid version? Is there any other point I haven't seen to deactivate that effect?
