un-wrapped text, end of line justification in item description
Does anyone else have the problem of split words at the end of a line in the description box ? I have contacted Arcadier about it, and I am told it has been noted, but no action taken. It does not happen in other boxes. Is it something i should be able to fix myself. ? I recently lost a very high end supplier who said, the item description looks really bad and undermines the quality of our site and therefore products. It really does look tacky, to have a word split in half and then the rest of the word continue on the next line. I would have thought if this is a problem for everyone it would have been discussed already but I cannot find any discussion.

further to the above, it is interesting that the following field, which is a custom field that we added ourselves, does not have the same problem with split words at end of line, oh and nor does the problem happen in the description field when typing in the box, only when the item is uploaded does this happen... only me or anyone else ?

Hi Jacqui, thank you for raising the issue again! I've updated our development team. In the meantime, a work around would be to use custom fields to segment the information into shorter sentences.

Hi arcadier support,
I have already taken into consideration adding further custom field.
current fixed fields are catergory, sub category, name, description, price, these i cannot change. ? or is there a way to delete description from this section and add it as a custom field instead....? - that would be a practical workaround.
If I can't change the fixed field, and added a further field after the price, it would look dreadful, it could only work if the fixed field was labelled, 'one line description' and then another field immediately after saying for example, 'full description' .you can't have description, price, then another description, and how would the seller know how much dialogue to put in the first field. I really don't think it makes sense
Also please confirm, if there is a practical workaround to the above, and I added a custom field and changed the order of the current custom fields, would this effect the already uploaded information in any way, or would it simply move the completed fields in a different order, My sellers would not be happy to have to reload already uploaded item information. We would have to make any changes ourselves, and that is not really a 'workaround' but a huge amount of work.
Surely all this would be resolved by Arcadier development having a description box that didn't split the words at the end of a line, surely it is not down to us market place holders to sort this issue out. if the custom field boxes are not affected by the weird alignment then why is the fixed box not set to the same parameters ?
Thanks Jacqui.
