HELP - Creating a website front with a marketplace
I was wondering if anybody knows how to customise the homepage such that it can looks like for example, a wordpress website page - as a landing page, and visitors can then access my marketplace? I need a blog site + marketplace site, is this possible?
I tried CSS and HTML custom codes but it messes the whole layout. HELP PLEASE.

Have you purchased a custom domain for your site? You can use that to add your marketplace as a sub-domain.

Why don't you set up your home page on Wordpress and then link to your Arcadier site? You could use your main domain for your Wordpress site (e.g. www.yoursite.com) and get Arcadier to name your site with them using a custom domain like 'listings.yoursite.com'. And just link to that from your Wordpress HOME page.
I do the reverse of that when I link from my Arcadier site at 'www.kayakable.co' to my Wordpress support and help pages at 'help.kayakable.co' -- HOW IT WORKS, FAQs and all of my footer pages go to my Wordpress 'help.kayakable.co' site too.

Yes I have my own domain for my marketplace. What do you mean by adding it as a sub-domain?

It is like shop.marketplacename.com or blog.marketplacename.com.

Okay, but what do I do with that. Can I create a website for those URL, like the one you have mentioned?

Hi Gary -- Can you explain how you've achieved your current setup? It looks great.

Hi there. I created my home page in Wordpress page just as I described above (using a theme called Listable in my case). I have now migrated my listings from Arcadier to Sharetribe by the way. But the principle is still the same. Create your home page in Wordpress. Give it your main domain name (www.yourdomain.com). Then ask Arcadier to give you a domain name like (listings.yourdomain.com) and link to that from the home page. Simple really. Good luck. :)

Thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate it. Yeah, it looked like you left the A platform... looks like ST+WP+Listable is a pretty penny. Good luck to you too!
