Member Account Delete Process

I see that a buyers/sellers can not delete their account by themself but they need to contact the admin and the admin has to send an email to Arcadier. Also the admin can not delete a buyer/seller's account. Looking to this process from a end user/customer point of view, it is not common in many other marketplaces to send a request to the admin to delete your account. Users are used to easily delete their account. This would create customer dissatisfaction. I propose to change the process and make users do it on their own. Also I believe the admin of the marketplace should be able to delete an account to have control on his/her marketplace. |

Hi Arcadier Community,
We are very excited to inform you that the option to delete users are already available in the admin portal, making the process a lot faster and convenient for the marketplace owner. To delete a user, simply head to the Users tab in the admin portal. Then, select the X button (found at the right) assigned to the buyer and/or seller you wish to delete.

I couldn't agree more. It should be possible for users to delete their accounts themselves.

For those registered in the EU, this would probably fall under the new GDPR regulation. Might need to bump it up the priority list as little.

Ooh, quite surprised to hear that even admins cannot delete profiles. Agreed that the users should be able to do it themselves. In the interim, is there at least a possibility for admin to hide the user's account from public view??

I understand your point of view. But it seems clear the overwhelming majority of admins here would like the option to delete the account manually by themselves so this should be actioned asap.

This needs to be a priority. Specially as the accounts start to grow. I request to make this a priority, also buyers and sellers like to be able to manage their accounts and this option is imperative.
It has been way overdue these conversations have started about a year ago since I joined. I think is time Arcadier makes this a priority.

My vote on prioritizing this.. it's imperative to let the user delete their account whenever they wish, this provides confidence and boosts leads to register.

Right now, deleting of buyers and sellers would have to take the form of an email sent to Arcadier via a support ticket. However, you are able to take away seller access / hide sellers.
