Multiple Currencies
I want to be able to insert more than one currency in my marketplace. As you all have known, Arcadier serves a global community, therefore the marketplaces will definitely have a global customer base as well.
Currently, the marketplaces can only support a single currency, e.g. USD
What i want is to have the freedom to allow the sellers to input a currency suitable for their transaction. e.g. A USD marketplace can have the ability to input GBP for the GBP users within the marketplace.

We have placed this in our roadmap, and we're working towards getting it up. We don't have a date for this yet, but do keep a lookout at this spot!

Thanks, this would be beneficial. I've already had so much feedback about the currency and because of it I have lost several customers who won't return until there is a multiple currency option. Just to note, I have had sellers as far India, U.S., Canada and UK interested but the limitation of currency is a problem.

Absolutely. I've had users in New Zealand say they wont list till they can do so in their own currency. I want to roll out internationally next year but won't be able to do so till this feature has been implemented -- this is a serious obstacle to business expansion and growth!

Agreed. Starting to expand outside of Europe and even with the UK the currency issue is a real customer loser.

Hi Guys,
Fyi, for our marketplace, we found a solution with the help of the guys at Arcadier's custom code team. The built a small currency conversion function for us which solved our issues on this and keeps our users happy.
They linked up with a service called https://openexchangerates.org which has a free tier that allows for a decent amount of conversions if you are starting out, and if you need more as your marketplace grows, it's not too expensive anyway.
The custom code team are amazingly helpful and have been very patient with me trying to achieve some random stuff sometimes. Reach out to them.

@Teo - can I ask how you engage the custom code team? Did you have to use a specific partner? If yes, may I ask which one?

Hi Catherine. I just use the Arcadier's custom code service. Just email them at customcode@arcadier.com . Tell them what you want to try and achieve, they will tell you if its doable or not and quote you for it.

Thanks for your workaround tip Teo... I do really hope that Arcadier will offer this as a standard feature at no extra cost though... It is such a fundamental requirement for global marketplaces. Plus, most of us are on a very limited budget, which is why we are looking at Arcadier, as opposed to a custom built option :-) ....

Hi Romeo. The entire process I went through is listed in my post from to months ago.
It's pretty straightforward. Get the Acradier custom code team to quote it to you, signup to https://openexchangerates.org and give the custom code team the details they need from that, and that's it.
If you like how it's set up on our platform, maybe just ask them to do exactly the same thing so it's easy.

I hope this option will be available soon. Otherwise we'll be quite limited to scale...
