What is the Web Page Builder Plug-In?
The Web Page Builder Plug-In is a feature that allows Admins to add additional web pages to their marketplaces, allowing them to further tailoring its look and feel.
Click here to find out how to install the plug-in.
Why should I use this feature?
Having the ability to create new pages was one of the most requested features within our community. This plug-in allows users to create their own custom content pages easily, without any coding knowledge.
Web pages are incredibly versatile in their use. Whether you want to share additional information and multimedia, advertise a discount campaign, or promote a special product range – all this content can be organised and published on your site in highly customisable web pages, all with unique URLs.
Furthermore, new pages will add value SEO-wise to your marketplace, helping it raise organic search rankings on search engines.
How do I use this plug-in?
Upon installation, click on the "Create new page" button on the top right corner of the page. You will then be able to enter specifications for the page. You may create as many new pages as you would like to.
You will be directed to the Creation Page where you can edit aspects of the new page you have generated. You will be able to:
- Provide a new name for your page (which will become the web URL title)
- Add content to your webpage with the document editor, including adding words, images, hyperlinks etc
- You can also view, insert and edit the HTML for the web page directly when you click on "Source" on the editor.
To access the "Source" function, you will need to create the page first. Only on the edit function would the view source button turn up.
This is to ensure that the page creation is successful before any customisations are done.
Who can view my created page?
Regarding the visibility of the page, there are three options to choose from. The Admin of the marketplace can decide whether (i) only Merchants, (ii) only Merchants and Consumers, or (iii) All users (including anonymous users) can view the page. These options can be found on the right side of the page.
On top of that, the Admin of the marketplace can change the availability of the page (published or hidden). If the page is hidden, only the Admin can preview the page. If the page is published, then users who fit the Admin's qualifications for visibility can view the page.
What other specifications can I change?
You can customize the URL, Meta Title and Meta Description of your page. The only limitation to the customization of the URL is that you cannot alter the main domain of the page. For example, your URL can only be edited after the "https://marketplacename.arcadier.io/pages/" part of your URL (i.e. "https://marketplacename.arcadier.io/pages/my-new-page"— only the parts in bold can be edited).
To make changes to meta information of plug-in, click on the "Edit" button at the bottom of the page to customize the Meta attributes.
Customize Meta Title & Description for SEO
For SEO optimization, you can modify both the Meta Title and Meta Description of your page.
It is recommended that Meta Titles are kept within 65 characters and Meta Description is kept to a maximum of 165 characters.
Please note that the Custom URL may not be in effect immediately. When our Arcadier Tech Team updates the Custom URLs on all marketplaces, your Custom URL will be in effect.
Will I be able to edit my new web pages?
You can edit any web pages you have built at any time. Almost everything on the web page created can be edited, updated, or removed. Simply visit the Web Page Builder Plug-In category and click on the edit icon for the page you would like to edit.

General Note: Using Plug-Ins with Custom Code Editor:
If you have utilized the Custom Code Editor and have inserted custom codes into your marketplace, there is a chance that the selected installed plug-in may conflict with the inserted codes resulting in errors on your marketplace, especially if your custom code relates to the same feature areas of the plug-in. In such an instance, simply uninstall the plug-in and the error will go away. Please note that Arcadier is not responsible for any errors which may occur as a result or support any custom code fixes to accommodate any plug-in. You will have to contact your developers directly for support.
