What is the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) Fields Plug-In?
The plug-in allows marketplace merchants to display the Recommended Retail Price (RRP), also known as the Original Price, of the item they are selling alongside the current offered price of the item or listed price. When a buyer purchases the item, they will be paying the current offered price, hence the RRP will only be a display price.

Why should I use this feature?
Displaying the RRP of an item would highlight the savings and discounts which buyers can enjoy while purchasing items uploaded by your marketplace merchants. Normally RRP prices are higher than the current listed prices, buyers would know that they are getting a good deal, motivating them to make purchases, hence increasing the marketplace's overall sales volume.
How do I implement this feature?
Once the plug-in is installed, the marketplace administrator can turn on the plug-in by switching the toggle to on.
When the toggle is blue and displays the word "ON" it means the plug-in has been turned on.
Likewise if the toggle is in grey and displays the word "OFF", it means the plug-in has been turned off.
Using the plug-in as the Merchant
An optional field for the RRP will appear on the Item Upload/Edit page. Merchants can choose to add an RRP, unique to each item listing. The RRP will be displayed in the marketplace’s selected Currency (e.g. USD) and Symbol (e.g. $).
Where can my merchants display the item's RRP?
To display the RRP, at the merchant portal, go to the Item Upload/Edit page of your selected listing.
(For Retail Goods Marketplace template)
Simply enter the RRP into the “ORIGINAL PRICE (BEFORE DISCOUNT)” field for Bespoke listings.
(For Bookings Marketplace template)
The RRP must be a numerical value. It will be automatically displayed next to the actual price of the listing. The “Price” field will be the cost of the item in the listing (i.e. the price that the merchant wants to rent the item/space out for). The RRP field “Original Price (Before discount)” will have no effect on this check-out price.
Can I edit the RRP of a listing after it has been posted?
Yes, you can update the RRP by editing the details of the specific listing. All you have to do is click on the pencil icon.
You can also delete the RRP of a single item simply by deleting the value in the “ORIGINAL PRICE (BEFORE DISCOUNT)” field followed by saving the item details again.
How often does the merchant have to update the RRP?
The merchant can change the item RRP at any time. However, once the RRP is entered, it will remain in the database even if the marketplace’s administrator chooses to turn the feature off. If the administrator turns the feature off, the fields will not display but will return when the feature is turned back on. The only way a merchant may lose the RRP values is if the marketplace’s administrator chooses to uninstall the feature from the marketplace.
General Note: Using Plug-Ins with Custom Code Editor:
If you have utilized the Custom Code Editor and have inserted custom codes into your marketplace, there is a chance that the selected installed plug-in may conflict with the inserted codes resulting in errors on your marketplace, especially if your custom code relates to the same feature areas of the plug-in. In such an instance, simply uninstall the plug-in and the error will go away. Please note that Arcadier is not responsible for any errors which may occur as a result or support any custom code fixes to accommodate any plug-in. You will have to contact your developers directly for support.
