Cash on Delivery is a feature available on Arcadier's Retail and Goods templates. Do note that it is not available on the Services or Rentals templates at this time.
1. To enable cash on delivery in Arcadier, you can go to your admin portal and then click on the Configuration tab and the 'Setup Payments' sub-tab in the navigation menu on the left of your portal.
2. Click on 'Settings' to activate Cash on Delivery.
3. Toggle the 'Off' to a 'On' in the next page.
4. Edit the text that will be displayed to your sellers as desired and click 'Save'.
As with all your payment methods, you will be able to set this as a mandatory payment method. If you are looking to keep payments on your marketplace entirely offline, you can set Cash on Delivery as a mandatory method and choose not to link any other payment method. Do note that this means you will have to monetise the usage of your marketplace in some other way!
For your sellers
Once the Cash on Delivery method is up, your sellers will be able to pick it as an option in their payment acceptance settings. They will receive see the text that you have input earlier to inform them of your own policy on payment acceptance using the Cash on Delivery Method.
1. Selecting Cash on Delivery as a payment acceptance method as a seller:
2. Seller clicks 'Okay' to admin's pop-up information:
3. Seller has enabled cash on delivery:
4. Seller can now select 'Acknowledged' as an option in their order logs to record that they have collected payment for their own reference:

Hi,
I believe the "Cash on Delivery" option is a very important feature for all kinds of businesses, no matter if it is a Retail and Goods business or it is Services or Rentals. Is it possible to add this feature to the Services or Rentals templates as well please?
I have the same problem. "Cash on delivery " is very I;\mportant for my business. However, only the template contains cash on delivery which does not support maps
I would like a scenario where Owner of platform can charge X% in booking fee, and then the rest is collected by the merchant when customer collects the rental equipment.
That would be the best scenario.
Plus that the merchant can choose for them self if they want to connect a payment gateway or do all rental by cash.
For me as a owner it doesn´t matter, as long we get paid for commission/Rental fee.
We need "Cash on delivery" feature for all services; my site for car rental needs that.
Totally agree Pierre Hammar, that would be the perfect scenario.
Also, would be nice to have the option of keeping all the money until the pick up/delivery date as default.
Cash flow will be happy of that.
A payment method where only marketplace's account number is displayed would be enough.
